We wanted a bath toy so we wouldn't have to worry about mold. I saw a few collapsible toys and decided to stick with these. The colors are beautiful and bold, the material is durable and it's fun to play with like a floating boat or flip it over for a rain effect. They are very easy to clean and dry (we just turn them upside down so there are no puddles in the boat - we don't need a sunken ship :D). I agree with other reviews that they are "difficult" to fold. as it has to go in the right direction to fit - and I can see how frustrating it can be for kids, but it can also help them think critically to figure it out. Now my almost one year old loves to separate them and play with them separately. We use it for swimming, games and pool activities.
