I have set up many devices and switches on my home network that work with both Google Home and Alexa. Some of these devices use the eWeLink app, so I'm quite familiar with pairing devices using this app. The device goes into pairing mode when first turned on, and I can put the device back into pairing mode after a timeout by holding the button on the circuit board. However, in pairing mode, the device should broadcast the Wi-Fi SSID, but it doesn't. It doesn't show up on my phone or my neighbor's laptop. Both even got disconnected from my home network, but the switch's SSID never showed up and I've tried multiple times. I suspect that the device is defective or configured for a different country. I'm asking Revain to send a replacement and we'll see how it goes. Unfortunately, because that's exactly what I need. (Update 2 days later) I received a replacement device but unfortunately it also doesn't broadcast the SSID (e.g. ITEAD-000001) so it can't pair or connect. It's time to look for another manufacturer. Thankfully, Revain is making a fairly painless comeback.
