SICK DOG by Honest Kitchen Dehydrated Dog Food

Shouldn't be a star rating. Limited ingredients and quinoa dog food. Immediately after my dogs ate this food, they developed large red blisters all over their bodies that were very itchy. My dogs have been eating Honest Kitchen dehydrated dog food for the past few years, but my little dog has had skin issues, a bad cough and gas. After the $82 swan incident, I went to the pet store and in my bag I bought some Fresh Pet Vital chicken dog food since they didn't have the Honest Kitchen that I used to use. After 3 days of taking Fresh Pet Vital both of my dogs were alert and more energetic, after 4 days my little dog had no more bloating/inflammation, the cough was gone for the first time in years and the skin sores were gone. I spent thousands of dollars on vet exams, switched heart meds, flea and dog treats, and put him on distilled water. The vet prescribed him cough syrup and hydrocodone. All along it was Honest Kitchen dehydrated dog food. I will never buy or recommend this product again. My other dog had a hard golf ball sized growth under the skin on his snout - after switching to Freshpet Vital the growth went away in less than a week. I couldn't believe and couldn't believe that Honest Kitchen dehydrated dog food was causing all of these problems the whole time. I hope this review helps someone who has a similar problem or reaction with Honest Kitchen dry food. 3 weeks Freshpet Vital, both 12 year olds are amazing and now have twice the energy and no longer waking up in the middle of the night when my dog has severe coughing fits - NO more hydrocodone.
