I have an old one Streaming device (Roku 3) that is about to expire. Regardless, I was determined to keep using it as the streaming quality I have is excellent and better than other devices. I've recently started getting reports of apps being "offloaded" on the device to provide a faster UI experience. The tooltip suggested installing a microSD card to avoid this "offload process" and improve the speed of the UI panels. Basically, my device asked me to increase its memory by installing a microSD card. Initially I started with a SanDisk card I had at home. Unfortunately this card did not work. After searching the web, it turned out that SanDisk cards are not compatible with Roku devices for some reason. So I turned to this affordable MicroSD card from Netac to expand the working internal storage on my streaming device. Upon arrival, I popped it into my Roku and was prompted to reformat the card. After the formatting process, the card significantly improved UI performance and eliminated the need to unload applications. All in all, given the price of the Netac card, I was extremely surprised. Overall, I'm happy to report that this card is good for upgrading your Roku 3 streaming device, especially when you encounter SanDisk card issues. I will be buying another of these maps to update on my other old streaming device.
