Review on πŸ”’ Shacke Travel Wallet Blocker: Concealed and Optimized for Enhanced Security by Syracuse Parrotte

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Good idea, cheap and poor quality tailoring.

Velcro seams came loose on first use. This prompted a closer look at the stitching on the rest of the device. The entire bag is assembled with a single stitch (with what appears to be poor quality thread) as opposed to the double stitching commonly found on products designed and built to last. Of the major forms of personal identification, I find this single stitch of cheap thread disruptive and totally unacceptable. So the case was bought to protect the passport and keep it with you, not so that it would fall apart and not result in the loss of the passport. Unfortunately this problem was discovered the day before the trip leaving no time for a replacement. Instead, I've sewn two more rows of stitching with a strong, high-quality thread across the Vecro flap and at the main stress points of this bag - where the top and two side straps attach to the bag. The bag has been in good condition since then. less than 2 weeks of intensive use. If the manufacturer made this double-stitched pouch out of quality thread and attached the thread to keep it in place, I would happily give it a 5-star rating.

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • Socket required
