As the only phantom powered XLR Bluetooth device that sums stereo audio into a single mixer channel, I'm glad this Switchcraft device is behind it. However, it has two ergonomic problems that are related. Good things first. This block is durable to withstand the production environment. This is due to Bluetooth range limitations and I find it necessary to use a short cable so the receiver gets the best reception, positioned higher and away from the usual clutter behind the audio console. The range also depends on the transmitter. Phones with cases just can't get that far. The best case for me was a bare iPhone 8 at 60 feet. That's cool. But the iPhone SE in the case had problems with a size larger than 15 inches. YMMV. For use on stage, the device also stands perfectly on a microphone stand. What is disappointing is that the device will not pair with a second device after it has been paired with another. That is, one person uses it, and the second comes. The device will not pair with the second person until the first person disconnects the device (disconnecting is not enough). If disconnection is not possible, the device must be restarted. This is the second problem and when it is fixed, the first problem will become more bearable. To reset your device, you'll need a curved paper clip or other tool with a small point. The pen doesn't work. Therefore, in a multi-user environment, you have to search for a paper clip just to switch transmission devices. This severely limits its usefulness. Especially when it's not that easy to get. If the reset button could be pressed with, I don't know, YOUR FINGER, that would make the device MUCH more useful. Now THAT will be the legendary Switchcraft theme. Incidentally, the instructions clearly state that the device must be connected with the phantom power switched off. Imagine that in a real production environment. The device must be close to the source. It could well put him anywhere between 50 and 150 feet from FOH on stage. So before you can plug it in on stage, you need to go to the console and turn off the phantom. Go back to the stage and plug it in. Then return to the console to turn on phantom power. Then return to the stage and continue with the setup unless you need to restart the device. Now find a paperclip. *#^#(*@!&!EPILOGUE: I made my own reset contraption and super glued it to the device. It's ghetto but it works. Although I don't expect it to last long.
