I bought this beanbag for a little bit cocky preschooler. When I opened the package, the lid was empty. "Beans" is in another mesh bag. The bag has a zipper. I don't know if I was rough on the mesh bag, but there was a small hole in the seam. Before I put the mesh bag in the lid, I patched the hole. Since then my kid has jumped on it, crushed it on the floor and done other destructive things that can leave a cheap beanbag in tatters. I have no idea. on the health of the inner mesh bag, but I really don't think it matters right now. You just have to get everything in the lid. It's strong, sturdy and the pattern is cute. I've never appreciated that much for a beanbag, but it was worth it.
