Good size for decorating cupcakes

These 18" Daymark disposable piping bags are great when icing a batch or two of cupcakes or decorating a cake. The best part about using it is that there is no messy cleanup like with reusable piping bags as you simply remove the decorating nozzle or coupler and toss in the trash when you are done. As with other piping bags, a fairly strong plastic is used here, but it is not as flexible as the plastic used for food storage bags. They can be used with or without lace caps and as small, large and extra large decorative caps as you cut off the small end of the pouch to insert the cap or connector. - The bag size used will be reduced by the amount you cut off the tapered end, so what starts out as an 18 inch bag will actually be cut a few inches with use. If you're planning on decorating a large cake with more decorations, you might prefer the DayMark 115437 21" Piping Bag with Dispenser (roll of 100). If you're hand filling the bag with icing or crust pastry, here's a tip that might help : After inserting the tip or sleeve into the bag, I fold the bag out about a third of the way, and then place the bag tip in a tall glass with the folded part hanging from the top of the glass, you can then fill the bag by hold the icing dish with both hands and a spatula or large spoon without trying to keep the bag upright. This will also ensure there is enough clean material at the top of the bag to roll it up and begin tying.Recommended .
