This is a traditional old fashioned fax machine that works well and a black and white copier. The fax machine plugs directly into a phone jack, which is a harder and harder thing to find on machines these days, which is why I bought it. Black and white copies just aren't as good as an inkjet printer that can print in color. I wanted to connect it to my computer but there is no CD in the computer. I have called Canon 3 times and was delayed by more than half an hour and never received an answer. I wouldn't buy this product again unless you want a traditional wall mounted fax machine for $149 and then you're good to go.
