Only 5 months of use not mounted. Just clicks. Macintosh DiskUtlity doesn't see it. i am a technician I've tried everything. Another calculator. different cable. New driver. Nothing. Just rhythmic clicking. Luckily, it's used as a backup drive, so no data will be lost. Not satisfied with the crash or fighting Seagate to find a solution. :-(***** UPDATE 08/17/2017 ***** As expected, the warranty return process was horrible. I spent almost an hour logging in and filing a warranty return. Restarting browser several times after that. The system has the model number , the serial number and the captcha entered are not recognized. I think they are case sensitive in these form fields. It's almost as if they want to prevent the process from being completed successfully, they work perfectly. Of course, I have to pay for the return shipping and then get the refurbished back. That's their warranty agreement. Let's see what happens next. Sigh.
