Review on πŸ–ŒοΈ Tombow Fudenosuke Soft Brush Pen - Value Set of 5 Pens by Denise Davis

Great pens but results vary by seller

These are my favorite brush pens and I use them mostly for modern calligraphy. They're the perfect size for traveling, and I use them to share handwritten notes on social media, to write headlines on notes and journals, and sometimes for drawing. Plastic, very soft and pleasant to the touch. The handles are not slippery and the tips are very soft and flexible, so use them with a very light hand. Feathers are small felt tips, so they don't have bristles and are best for small jobs. INK DURABILITY AND COLOR The ink is water based and therefore not archivable. However, the ink appears pure black on white paper and very dark brown on brown-cream paper. Do not use these pens on cheap printer paper or other textured paper as they will wear out. They work very well on parchment paper (let it dry!) and on very smooth paper like HP Bright White Paper. Depending on the seller, the pens either dry quickly, overflow with ink (I solve this problem by leaving them open for a few minutes), or have the perfect amount of ink. Since they come in multiple boxes, keep in mind that your pens may only fit into one or more of these categories. They tend to dry out quickly over time if you leave them open, so always make sure to close them tightly. Store them on their side or cap down to ensure the ink holds. A pack of 5 pens usually lasts 5-7 months as I use them a lot. Note: The duration depends on the particular pen and the smoothness of the paper. When working directly on textured paper, the ink dries quickly and the tips rub off; However, when you write on smooth paper, the ink stays strong and the pens don't wear out unless you really try to wear them down. PATTERN SIZE/THICKNESS Depending on the hand pressure, 3-4 different line thicknesses can be achieved. However, most people only get 2 points for not holding the pen sideways. I usually only use two main strengths and hold the pen vertically.
