Gorgeous, Luxurious, LOVE IT!

Bought for my daughter who just started wearing 7/8s at Walmart & Target; a size 8 and even some 7/8 are still a bit big while a size 7 usually fits her perfectly and has no room to grow. FIT: The dress is a bit loose to allow room to grow and there is a tie to make it more form fitting. . It hits just below the knees, but my daughter is skinny (but appropriate) and short (regular pants are usually 5 inches longer). I like her dresses a little longer - they will last longer when she grows up and she doesn't know how to take care when she sits - so the length is perfect. Sorry I don't have her measurements but I think she's about 48 inches tall and weighs 60 pounds (maybe less). Usage: I bought this dress for school. Many of the usual uniforms were sold out, but I needed clothes for at least a whole week, like yesterday; So I settled on "fancy but dress code approved" attire, including this dress. It actually turned out to be the best dress I've ever bought! Material: Judging by the picture I thought it would be a light linen dress and I might have to buy her a jumpsuit/t-shirt for it. It's actually quite extensive, of high quality; looks and feels so luxurious too. It appears to be fully lined or double fabric, the *entire* of the dress (including the arms). This can make it too hot for North Carolina's deadly summer heat and humidity; But I think it will be perfect for fall/winter/chilly spring. I don't remember the fiber content, but it's very soft and has a slightly silky feel (like bamboo). It doesn't look like cheap polyester (even though it turns out to be polyester, it feels heavenly). Best of all, it's machine washable! Drying is on a flat surface/iron if necessary - but that suits me as we often "line dry" some children's things; Actually all I have to do is post it. Well if it was hand wash it would be a different story - it takes time, work, effort etc. Conclusion: I would recommend this to absolutely anyone who needs a beautiful dress (can wear for everyday wedding, church, party, photos etc. ) for a child (or even a small adult in large sizes!). And of course I would buy again. Actually I'll see if it has other colors rn... PS. This dress will almost certainly end up in the dryer (medium heat) at some point in its life. I'll try to remember to update if that happens. I haven't washed it yet either, but I'll report back if something happens in the car.
