So I decided to set up an octoprinter for my 3D printer and decided to do it all and buy a camera. Connected, went into the viewer, but there is no picture. Checked all cables, nothing. The display on the camera was on, but there was no image. I spent hours trying to get it to work until I accidentally wrote that the camera isn't working. So on a whim I ordered a second one, same brand and all. When it arrived I left the cable attached and just replaced the camera module. And voila, it worked. So your mileage may vary if you get working camera module or not
