Okay I'm a 59 year old male with a certain glow in the dark fetish. Many years ago I gave one of my children a glow in the dark wizard cloak and now that she is a teenager I thought she might like this blanket for her bed. Unfortunately, she didn't inherit my love for the soft green glow. So I win by default! I'm 1.80m tall so it doesn't cover my whole body. But give me a blanket pin and it will be a great cape! However, when I sit on a chair, it covers me below the chest. Both sides are soft, but I saw one reviewer comment that the stars have a rougher finish than the rest of the plaid. I concluded that this is the outside of the blanket. On the other side are soft stars, you can also see that the stars shine better from the outside (and are better "charged"). Straight out of the box, this blanket is soft! I don't know if the seductive coziness will hold up in the wash (or various snack stains), but other than that I like it! When I first tested the glow, I was disappointed with how dim it was. I later found that my eyes weren't used to the darkness right after the light was turned off. Wait a few minutes in the dark and it will be quite noticeable. I think the only way to improve the situation is to offer a larger size for us big kids.
