. I use them to cover outdoor furniture for the winter. I also have other canvas fabrics which are a softer, more flexible tent-like material that drapes like fabric. The softer ones are more expensive and look good, but tear easily. I also have very expensive ones that are shaped like chairs etc but they cost almost as much as the furniture and break too. This simple Revain tarp is cheap and keeps things dry. I have 4 of these and none have broken. To cover patio furniture, I tuck the ends under the furniture's legs to hold them in place. For items that are outdoors and subject to strong gusty winds, I simply thread the elastic cords underneath the piece and hook them into the grommets to hold them in place and ensure they don't get blown away. They're not as pretty as custom molded furniture covers, but when everything's covered in snow they're still not visible.
