From a Rode representative: Wireless headphones experience audio dropouts when placed within 2 inches of each other due to 2.4GHz signal interference. I've used it on many shoots and 10/10 times I've had issues with audio dropping out even at 5ft from subjects. Instead, buy a mounted version that leaves you a gap between them.
