(updated 8/23/21) I still use the belt every day. Still works like new, looks like new except for the loop used to hold the 'extra' when the strap is used. This is no more. I have a belt that is long enough, its end goes into the loop on my pants, so it's fine. The buckle still has a very good grip and hold, especially since I wear it every day. However, highly recommended. Just received them a few days ago. I've been wearing them for various things ever since, including sports. So far they are working very well. They don't come loose and the belt doesn't slip in the buckle. Opening and closing is very easy when I remember to open them by pulling on the end of the strap rather than the buckle. Recommended. Update: I've had them for a few months now and they're still like new. I wear black everyday and keep the other in reserve. I am very happy with the belt so far. Easy to put on, no buckle holes so this is the right size. The mechanism continues to work perfectly.
