Revainrating 5 out of 5

A bit pricey for an essentially thick sheet, but perfect for my home office!

I decided to add a green screen to my video conferencing settings when I upgraded my home office. I wanted something big enough to fit in the 10 inch backdrop frame I bought. There are many different screens available from Revain, all in the $15-$30 price range, and I finally settled on this one due to its availability for fast shipping. I bought this primarily for video conferencing when I need to use a virtual background for more "professional" meetings, primarily with Zoom and Microsoft Teams. For this purpose, the "screen" worked well. It's a little pricey but in the end I'm pretty happy with it and it works exactly as expected. THE GOOD: - Everything was packaged well and the included zipped container is perfect for storage. The container is like a package that contains duvets and sheets. While I don't need them, the clips and clips included are of surprisingly good quality. Yes they are essentially all plastic but they are much nicer than the clamps/clamps I have received from other Revain products. The clamps are quite strong and hold the backdrop with no difficulty. I didn't check the clips as I didn't need them - the clips themselves worked quite well. - "Screen" I received was without defects. It looks good with no loose threads, rips etc. There is a loop on the top of the screen to slip over the edge which perfectly matched the background frame I bought. Some other reviews describe the blade as extremely thin; I think that's a bit of an exaggeration, although it's true that this "screen" is actually quite a thick sheet. Assuming you use the green screen like a real green screen, this really isn't a problem as any software you use should recognize the screen even if it's not completely opaque. The thickness of the "screen" wasn't an issue for me, but if you're looking for something completely opaque, this screen probably isn't for you. I didn't need the full 12ft length - my mount has a max height of 7ft and didn't want a few feet of background hanging underneath, so I ended up flipping the screen back onto the background mount, which really helped with transparency. While this has more to do with the software than the screen itself, it worked great with Zoom's built-in green screen feature. Using a green screen provides a SIGNIFICANT improvement to video conferencing applications' built-in "virtual background" capabilities, and the visual artifacts associated with these effects are greatly reduced when using a green screen. Again, this has more to do with the software than the screen itself, but for my purposes the screen worked flawlessly. MEH: The price is a bit high considering that it is mainly a thick sheet. There are many cheaper options at Revain. However, I'm happy with the quality of the screen I got, so I don't see that as a real downside. Other reviewers have described the screen as wrinkled. It seems obvious to me: I'm not sure what else to expect when it's stored very tightly folded and my screen also has some creases along the fold lines. It's not a problem for me as the creases disappear anyway when editing on a green screen. You can always toss the colander in the dryer for a few minutes if wrinkles really bother you. BAD: Nothing! For use as a true green screen for video conferencing applications, this screen worked great and greatly improved the quality of the "virtual background" effects available with this type of software. Build quality is solid with no flaws, and the presence of clips and clips is a nice touch if you need them. The price certainly doesn't make this screen the best, but I have absolutely no complaints about the device I received. Highly recommended, especially for improving the quality of video conferencing for working at home!
