Review on Alba Botanica Hawaiian Oil-Free Moisturizer 🌿 with Aloe & Green Tea, 3 oz. by Hannah Jenkins

I've only been using this moisturizer for a few weeks but so far I'm very impressed and delighted with this product! I have been taking birth control pills (v. Yaz) for menorrhagia since I was 14 years old. After taking these pills for ten years, I finally noticed their bad effect on me and decided to stop taking them. My mood and general quality of life immediately improved dramatically! However, my skin set FAST! I have had PERFECT skin my entire life and have even jokingly bragged about my "skin of the goddesses". I didn't know my skin was perfect just because of the hormones in those stupid pink pills. My skin got so oily, awful 30-50 pimples came out at once on my face, pores on my nose got huge and ugly, my nose was very red all the time, even my chest and shoulders got oily and blotchy. It was so uncomfortable and I didn't know what to do. I've tried everything from over-the-counter creams to natural remedies to red light therapy. Nothing succeeded! It was so discouraging and really impacted my morale. I didn't want to go out at all. I didn't even want my husband to see me without makeup. My #1 mistake was putting coconut oil on my skin every night. Everything I've read says that coconut oil is the best moisturizer for acne-prone skin and even helps kill acne bacteria due to its antifungal properties. TO THE RIGHT. The only thing that helped was stopping oiling my skin every day (damn it was oily enough) and using this oil-free moisturizer. After 2 weeks my pimples were reduced. At the moment I only have 2 small pimples! All over the body! And that can't be a coincidence. I suffered for a year and finally found relief. This moisturizer is ideal for oily, acne-prone skin. And don't worry about the price! Just buy it now! The only annoyance I have with this, which is actually more of a personal issue, is holding the jar straight up and down before opening. The first few times I opened it I spilled something on the floor :/ it's very runny and almost runny. But that doesn't bother me at all because it's a real find. If I could give 100 stars I would!
