Attention! This switch uses a very low melting point glue to hold the metal threads and epoxy ball together (reminds me of hot glue). Works well at moderate temperatures, but at +100F the ball will start to wobble and spin between the metal threads and the epoxy because the glue has melted. This glue (I suspect it was a cheaper alternative to industrial glue) poses a major safety issue as the shifter almost came off when driving on the freeway on a hot day. This makes shifting difficult and also distracts the driver. Please consider purchasing a derailleur that does not use this weak adhesive to remain intact if you live in an area with summer temperatures that allow your vehicle to ride in excess of 100°F.
