This is a great solution for those who need a dashboard warning light. The mounting hardware is decent, but they are suction cups and I have yet to find a suction cup that stays permanently attached. There are also screw holes if you prefer. However, temperatures here in CO have fluctuated between 85+ degrees and below zero with snow over the past few days and have remained constant throughout. This is more than can be said of other suction cup mounts I have used. As for the build quality, everything seems to be well done. There are many cheaper ones out there, but all have been reported to bend and melt the plastic in the sun. There isn't a single review on this product that suggests why I bought it. The mount itself looks great too, and rubber is used between the plastic body and the metal mount to hold tension. It's a welcome addition and it's nice to see that thought has gone into the design. Installation is easy and the cable is quite long, but the mount is a little fiddly as the pivot may not align it quite where you want it. More on that later. The light is quite bright, visible day and night. You will have no problem getting someone's attention. I prefer the interlaced four-flash pattern as it continues to flash continuously but moves to attract attention. Because the mount doesn't allow the light to line up perfectly with the windshield, the light leaks into the cab of my truck. To make up for this, I plan to apply black self-adhesive foam sealant to the sides of the window bezel (a piece of metal at an angle) to fill in those gaps, as another reviewer did. Both are well made, but the plug also comes apart easily so you can permanently plug it into your socket if you're so inclined. Simply loosen a metal screw, then unclip the black plastic connector next to the 12V center connector, then carefully spread the connector body apart as the side connectors are a bit springy. You can use existing switches if you can find a compatible mounting plate, or you can connect to your own switches or other compatible light source. There are three wires: black, red and yellow. Black is ground, red is positive, and yellow changes the light pattern during a momentary ground fault. If you want to hook it up to your own switches, you'll need a power on/off switch and a momentary switch on the yellow wire. However, you can limit and ignore the yellow color if you find a template you like and set it there, as this light will remember your last setting. 47" Road Advisor: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LR73Q2S/
