Photo with beverage can for scale. I'm a little confused by this bag as it looks like high quality leather, is buttery soft and flexible and smells like real leather. But it is labeled as "genuine leather", which is one of the lowest grades of leather (in general, this whole labeling thing is complicated, see below). Inside there is a zip pocket for valuables and two non-closable side pockets. There is a magnetic clasp that runs through both sides to hold the two pieces together. It looks a little sloppy as it's a bit 'flexible' and the top edges of the leather are a little rough on the outside, but looks nice. just not very formal. Comes with a small medallion on a leather strap. (You can see it hanging from the handle in my photo above) It's large for a purse and small for a large bag. I like the kind of bags that I take on planes because I put my purse in there and then have room for other things and I consider them a "personal item". The price for it was two hundred dollars. That's a bit high for the quality of a wallet, but half would be reasonable. Current price is not listed so I can't comment on value. Leather Definitions: Leather comes in many grades and the names are difficult to remember and classifying leather is not easy as it also depends on the manufacturer, but in general you can use the following definitions. The lowest quality is "genuine leather", which simply means that it is made of bonded leather. Next comes the highest quality leather, made by splitting full-grain leather and polishing imperfections. The best quality is genuine leather, this is a variety made from a whole hide, it often has imperfections but ages very well, full grain is the type that gets better over time. Avoid things like "glued skin" which are pieces glued together.
