Review on πŸͺ‘ Executive Big and Tall Office Chair with Lumbar Support, Padded Loop Arms, 350 lbs Capacity - Espresso with Cocoa Coated Accents by Darla Wilmoth

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Finally. Quality chair for people over 250 pounds!

Over the past 25 to 30 years I've bought about a dozen executive chairs, all of which are rated for people up to 250 pounds. I currently weigh 265 pounds and every chair I've had in the last 5 or 6 years has had the same two problems: (1) the piston eventually fails and you sit about 12 inches off the floor and/or (2) the composite -Armrests that hold the back and seat together are weak and break when you recline in the chair. My last chair was $200 from Office Depot, and on this chair, the company actually replaced the composite armrests when they first got them times broke. Time. When they broke again recently and since this chair is no longer guaranteed I decided to look for another option when I found this chair. I searched the web for several hours before finding this chair and found the one (by price) that had the most consistent number of positive reviews so I decided to give this one a try. I just assembled the chair and it seems to be selling better than any other chair I've had. Not only is it worth over Β£350. but it also has a higher attitude than any other chair I've had in the past. The armrests are shorter, allowing me to slide the chair further under the desk, resulting in more comfortable keyboard ergonomics. While the arms are still composite (not metal), they're unlike any other, so I'm hoping they don't break when I lean back. Overall I'm very happy with it and time will tell but it seems to be much better quality and much more durable than any other chair I've had in the past, even at the same price. One final note, and most reviewers had comments on it. Assembly is ONLY tricky because you MUST leave all of the screws loose/not fully tightened in order for the final screws to line up with their socket. Also, do yourself a favor and ditch the included allen key and use a hex-tipped socket wrench. Otherwise, you won't have enough leverage to fully tighten the bolts and your hands will really get whacked by this tiny tool they provide.
