When I first opened the package I was very dissatisfied with what I received. After shaking and fluffing it after delivery (about half an hour or so) it looked just like the photo. I got this pillow because I still wanted to cuddle with my husband but the pain in my hip and shoulder from sleeping on my side was becoming unbearable. Other reviewers noted that the cover is scratchy, but when washed (like new clothes/linen) it softens instantly. Putting the lid on is quite tricky, but with a little patience everything is fine. I also like the thinner center section because I can fold it in half and use it on the couch for extra back support. I either fold it all the way in half behind me or half in the back and half in the front and use the front half as a book/plate shelf.
