Review on Smart bracelet Xiaomi Mi Band 2, black by Chae Hahm ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not a bad purchase, worth the money.

I wanted a pedometer watch with a heart rate monitor and a couple of smart functions, and a long service life. The pedometer pleased, the smart functions disappointed, not that Applewatch was waiting, but two things disappointed: - Non-parameterizable notifications (I want different pictures for different applications, and different vibrations) - The watch is not comfortable (it almost fades in the sun, the delay in displaying the time after bringing the bracelet to your eyes is about a second (so you brought it and you wait and think, if the movement is not detected, if the bracelet is still thinking)). The movement does not always detect, 85 percent are successful. The button does not always work the first time. I still don’t understand what it depends on, roofing felts on the moisture content of the hands . - The software does not know how to monitor the pulse (third-party software for the firmware has not grown yet). - You can put notifications on 5 applications in total. - The price tag is too high - Plastic scratches easily - Does not look like a decoration, unlike the first Pleased: + Watching steps has become more convenient, and measure the pulse directly from the device + In size - larger, but visually not very annoying + The heart rate monitor is tolerable, only it is necessary to fasten the strap more tightly so that during the measurement the gap does not remain between the arm and the bracelet. + Capacious battery, but with frequent use of notifications, my life time is 20% less than the first models. The text of messages or the caller does not show, as if I did not wait. So it's not a downside. And to the features, another feature of the specific software for ios: under ios there are no notifications for the arrival of messages from programs like viber, or skype, only incoming calls. In general, if you wanted an old watch bracelet, then this is almost yours. Only while there is no third-party software to properly set up notifications like in old bracelets or heart rate monitoring. I think the software will catch up within six months and it will be normal. In the meantime, some of the convenient features of the old bracelet will have to be abandoned. In general, I recommend it as a replacement for Band1, but not as a competitor to Apple Watch. If I finish the notifications, then I'll put 5 *. And if you display the caller, it would be 5+.

Pros
  • Battery 15-20 days Pedometer quality Have a watch Quality heart rate monitor Qualitatively assembled IP67 waterproof small size Convenient alarm clock There is sleep monitoring, the quality of monitoring is difficult to assess
Cons
  • Notifications are miserable Time display delays The bright sun is blinding The case is scratched There are no other colors of bracelets yet Look like a watch, not a piece of jewelry The price tag is up Not compatible with the first model (neither charging nor straps) Notifications for only 5 applications Little software (or rather, only a native application)
