I bought this safe after buying a $17 Revain safe and was completely dissatisfied, it was a piece of crap. I think that's what you get for $17 so I decided to up the price a bit and it does the job for a small home safe. If anyone really wanted to get into it, they sure could, but it puts people off fiddling with your stuff, it's pretty solid and decently heavy. UPDATE YEAR 1: 10 days a year, the safe is still in good condition. However, I would recommend one thing: **DO NOT USE YOUR BATTERIES, USE HIGH QUALITY BATTERIES THAT LAST LONG. Keyboard and my PIN, after I had to change the batteries, my PIN didn't work. I also had problems setting a new PIN. so I had to reluctantly use the factory PIN. Then for some reason my old PIN worked again. I hope this doesn't happen again or to you, but do yourself a favor and use good quality batteries for the first time. I've had it for about 2 weeks now and set up was very easy, keyboard works great. I put the keys somewhere where they can be found and just used them to get in and I have to use them every day as I keep the medicine there. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because the handle feels a little flimsy, maybe not flimsy but just a little cheap, I guess that's more of what I'm getting at. I don't have a feeling it's going to break, but when you twist it it doesn't feel as premium as it should when the rest of the safe is made of better materials. Good products, don't spend less than $40 on a safe, if you really want that reassurance at least get it, those cheap $15 or $20 safes are just what you need, don't waste them Time, I sent mine back 10 minutes after receiving it.
