The lip really helps keep drinks stable.

Excellent communication with seller. Nice to use on the kitchen table, especially when children are around, as well as on the table in the TV room. They stick a little when a glass of very cold drink is placed on them. But the seller's advice when this happens was very helpful. Also a tip from my husband: sprinkle some salt on the coaster before placing a cold drink on it to prevent it from sticking. And then the salt is easily washed off.
