Does it really protect? Or is it just new?

As it has become obvious that we will now need to wear face masks in the near (and distant?) future, why not hug and have fun? It's garnered me quite a few compliments and comments when I wear it lately, especially when I wear it with sunglasses. However, since the material is stretchy and somewhat transparent, I'm guessing it doesn't protect you or anyone else any better than a more traditional face mask. Not the bandanas or scarves that everyone else wears because the airflow around them is too strong because they don't really fit around the nose and mouth. But this, like this, will seem to reassure those around you that you are responsible. Pros: - Tricks others into thinking you're taking precautions - People are likely to look at you and comment on how they like the look. Cons: - probably not the best choice if you're really worried about your health or others - it's a transparent and elastic tube - like leggings, not hemmed at the top and bottom - the fabric on the top and bottom of this one hose will roll due to lack of hem and structure - will likely fray with repeated use - to create the 'look' as pictured with your eyes and anything below the joker, consider rolling up or folding the bodice with a sleeve, so that when you put it on, the nose will match your nose. It actually doubles the fabric, so "more" protection? - If you don't have a big nose - it slides over your face as it's stretchy and won't pinch your face due to nylon/spandex's slippery properties. This added that it curls up on the inside where you can feel it on your face (like a wedge), forcing you to constantly fidget and adjust. Invariably the alignment with the print is no longer aligned with your face and you just look like an ass. People will look at you for different reasons.
