Bought for a 24" x 30" artwork (framed) and it works pretty well. There are about 4 brightness settings and we don't even use the brightest setting. It is very pretty and the lamp body is adjustable so you can put it closer or farther from the art. It is simply attached to a frame or wall, depending on the situation. I don't know how long the battery lasts as we usually only turn it on when we have company or guests, but we are very happy with it. Finding a decent battery powered photo light was a challenge a few years ago, but this is a huge step forward. The small remote control is a nice feature. Remember that it is battery operated. So if you need a strong, bright light this isn't the best option, but other than that it's a perfect fit. We are considering getting a larger model for another larger piece of art.
