Pretty good monitor with a major lack of functionality

So I installed it for my desk which I can raise or lower and use in ergonomic daily work by lifting it and standing for a few hours. either sitting or standing. bar table. I mostly switch back and forth to minimize postural and circulation issues since I use this workstation several hours a day, as much or more than my bed. It is important! That's why I have the $900 Aeron chair. But when using three 30 inch monitors, the main monitor I use has to go up and down when I change position. That's where this hand comes into play. IF you change your arm position from low to high to standing and if you don't extend your arm outward and parallel to the other arms, the pivoting arms will be at an angle. When angled, the arm that is outside of the main stand is NOT strong enough to support a 15 lb monitor. , he holds without problems. BUT, since the arm TWISTS with the weight, every time I need to switch from sitting to standing, I also have to set the screen to rotate (spin it like the hands of a clock) to align it, and this is difficult. If you have a loose nut, it will rotate by itself all the time, if inclined, it will be difficult to adjust. I have a problem with this transition. Since I do this about 3-4 times a day it's quite stressful and time consuming The hand doesn't rotate because of any play in the pivot point ie HEAVY but because the hand is thin and hollow! Thin enough to flex and the screen looks like it's tilted about an inch. For the visual user of professional screens or any other use for work or entertainment, this level will not work. So I think it's a 2 or 3 star hand. For the price I give 3 stars. BUT why wasn't it well designed? They didn't use tools like Solidworks or other CAD programs that specified weight tolerances in different positions. This could have been avoided with the software they already use and pay for. There would be zero to a few cents more in the material. So it comes down to bad technique. THE USER, the engineer who made that decision and created this poor quality product that could have been a GREAT 5 star product.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • No performance
