Heavy-duty tripod with detachable lightweight monopod

I didn't realize tripods could be so expensive, but I think this is one of those truth-telling articles that you get what you pay for! A cheap camera tripod we bought a few years ago broke recently, so we decided to invest in a heavy-duty professional tripod. One strong enough to last us and hold our camcorder for years, and also compatible with our mirrorless camera and DSLR should we decide to buy one in the future. We wanted a reliable tripod to be able to shoot in time to see Comet Neowise orbiting the Sun in just 7,000 years, so it's a unique experience. Unfortunately it was too foggy and there were too many clouds when we went up into the mountains twice, but this tripod held up like a champ in 50 degree cold and windy conditions. The instructions say not to use it in temperatures below minus 40 degrees and above 100 degrees. The tripod is made of durable aluminum alloy tubes. The KF-28 metal ball head offers a maximum load capacity of 22lbs and can be rotated 360 degrees, making it easy to hold a heavy DSLR and providing excellent panoramic shots. Do not exceed the maximum specified load. This tripod is easy to set up by simply rotating the legs in the opposite direction and securing them with the clamps. There are four (4) leg sections and a handle allows for height adjustment. The height with two (2) middle sections can be increased to 93.8 inches, which is quite tall and allows you to capture large group photos from a vantage point. The height without the pillar reaches 67.7 inches. There's also a detachable, lightweight monopod that extends up to 98.4 inches for a variety of photographic needs. For panoramic shots, the center column moves from 0 to 180 degrees and can be rotated 360 degrees horizontally. Also included is a beautiful and durable carrying case that protects the tripod and makes it portable when you're on the go. The bag also has a strap that can be worn over the shoulder for added convenience. The only thing that bothers me is the weight. As this is a very heavy tripod it weighs just over six (6) pounds which is heavier than most tripods but this is by far the best tripod we have had and you can tell by the high quality and the details. When my husband uses it to record with our camcorder, it's very stable and I'm sure it will last us for years!
