Not suitable for cars and motorcycles

These lamps can work quite well. Most LEDs I've bought to replace incandescent bulbs work. But I couldn't tell. I bought these to replace the turn signals/brake lights on my motorcycle. But there is a ridge sticking out from the base of these LEDs, right where the LED circuit boards connect to the metal base of the LED "bulb". This protruding rim completely encloses the plunger and extends beyond the metal base. That is, the "piston" is larger in diameter than the base, right at the end of the base. All pears are wider than the base, but the width gradually increases as you move away from the base. They have a large diameter right at the base, making them unusable (see image). Because when I tried to install them, I couldn't get the bulbs into the socket deep enough to make electrical contact or lock them in place. Therefore they are useless to me. I would send them back but with the shipping cost I would only get $2.99 back so why bother? I would definitely return them and remove this review if the company pays for the return postage. My advice if you are planning to use them on cars or motorcycles is to take a good look at the light you are using. If you have some sort of reflector inside the housing (which almost all automotive and motorcycle applications need to reflect light from the lamp in a specific direction) it probably won't work for you. This is the reflector that the edge of the bulb hits and prevents the bulb from landing in the socket.

Pros
  • Lots of good vibes
Cons
  • No power
