As many people have said in other reviews it does not compress clothes. However, it's perfect for organizing and unpacking. If you have to pack for a week, its small size means it only fits into thin, light summer clothing (t-shirts, tank tops, and shorts that roll up for compactness). does not work with thick or heavy bulky items). Fits well in airline carry-on luggage that can be stowed in overhead bins. Particularly practical for children and young people who go on school trips. Will be using it for a 3 week multi city family trip to Asia (we will be washing clothes every few days). I hope this minimizes the chances of either of us leaving anything in the hotel's drawers. I also have a larger size that I use for checked baggage, it fits in a carry-on but is cramped and doesn't leave room for anything else in the carry-on.
