What a life saver! While I'll probably have to go through a few of them (it's not FULLY scratch-proof, I can't imagine that there is), it's been like this for at least a month now. Shavings on the floor of my 60lb Shepherd mix trying to get through to the postman. I saw no other solution but to take my lumps. So far. There are a few tricks to installing this thing. Some reviewers have complained that the plexiglass is too twisted to fit and retains its curve. I left it under some books for a day and it was almost flat. The second tip concerns these 3M strips. I've used them a few times and they need a bit of "healing". So stick them in the right places on the cover and then leave them for a few hours (I left them overnight). I then peeled off the other side of the strip and taped it to the door the night before (when I knew it would have cured before the postman arrived). Wah-la. plugged in! Additionally, several other reviewers said that this device was "frozen," which is not true. That's perfectly clear. But there is one film that must be removed last (after installation) to reveal a clean facade. It's so clear I couldn't even take a picture of it to show my friend. That saves the door. I want it to come in one big package.
