When I bought this chair there were *a few* reviews about it breaking and throwing people on the floor . I reluctantly bought one. LOVED IT, tried it for a month then bought a second one. I'm 5'9" and 165 pounds. I'm not a very tall guy. I also sit motionless at my desks. Little movement. In 2020 my second chair broke. The chair has what I call a " 'Reclined' position and a 'fully reclined' position controlled by a lever on the right side. I reclined and it 'just popped out', I was right back on the floor. I got up, brought the Lever returned to its original position and about a week later it did it again. It gets worse each time until you learn to just sit at the front of the chair for safety. I thought about how lucky I was at that my original stool wasn't a lemon. This was again late 2020. Today my original stool knocked me out. sit down, bang, clap, floor. convinced me they are comfortable and need protecting. now I'm up Revain, buying two new (other than these!) chairs, thought while I'm at it I'd warn the next person. You can try them and you might even love them. (Yes!) But they won't be loyal to you. I did not listen. I present to you my own experiences and wish you all the best.
