It went out of service after about a year when the power was removed. Thicker wires are better.
I've owned this 50 foot white 3.5mm extender for a year and a half now. After a year it started turning off intermittently and over time the problem got worse. Obviously bad soldering. A better strain relief could have been used and the thin cable makes me think a bulge in diameter could be used for the wires to reduce resistance so headphone amps don't have to work as hard with such a long cable. Guarantee but it took longer than it should as they seemed to have lost the request and needed a reminder.
