Other features work fine, so I only removed one star from .

I probably didn't read the answers to some questions about this device properly. From these answers, I found that the USB-C port on the Trainium supports data transfer. I've tried this with two different drives, a new Sandisk SSD and a 2.5" WD Red drive. My iMac didn't recognize any of the drives. Both drives are recognized immediately when I plug them into the iMac's USB-C ports. Very disappointing as that is exactly why I bought this unit. I can't speak about the USB-C charging capability as I don't have any devices that use this feature. Other features seem to work well, so I've only deducted one star from my rating.
