For the most part it was exactly what I was hoping for. Some of the features are a bit fiddly, but if you keep them simple they will work just fine. I had a remote control sensor on the wall behind my TV and my TV remote would change color and light mode to something seizure-inducing every time we pressed the power button. I also tried connecting the end of one strand to another part, I cut the other strand and it didn't work very well. It comes with connectors to do just that, but the pins didn't match up very well and the lights started losing one of the 3 colors throughout the strand. It was strange. The phone app worked fine at first, but then the connection dropped and I didn't fix the issue. Good app though. Overall, the light works well with the remote control, but if the secondary features are very important to you, I'd recommend spending a little more. If you just want the ambient light to toggle on and off like I do, then this is great quality.
