This hood is HUGE. Perfect if you have an ankle length braid or just a hairstyle with lots of hair. It's double-sided so you can play with it however you like. One of the downsides I found is the tie down attachment method. The material is very soft and slippery, so no matter how I tied the ends, at night they slipped off, and when I woke up, the hat was lost in the bed's abyss or on the floor. Just a hassle I didn't like having. To secure it I had to tie it HERE which caused a headache but I couldn't even let it loose a little or it would slip off at night. Also a lot of work. I think a bit of elastic around the edge could have been used to secure it better. I like it because it's roomy, but I wouldn't use it alone, maybe over another hood for extra security or something. It's okay, but of all the hats I own, this isn't the one I'm really striving for.
