It's heavy enough, strong enough and versatile enough. It's also quite compact when folded, which is nice. There is one caveat with this product: when it's extended (highest position), although it can hold my heavy 575g (1.27lb) Galaxy Tab S7+, you need to make sure your arm is fully or almost straight. At the angle, the outstretched arm cannot support this weight due to leverage. However, understand that an outstretched arm at an angle is not required; You can either move the stand closer to you or use your outstretched arm (which is very similar, as having an outstretched arm at an angle means lowering the height to tilt the device closer to you). The piece that holds the tablet in place can work at any angle despite the weight and works well despite not being metal. For lighter devices like a smaller tablet or Nintendo Switch, this tablet stand/holder shouldn't pose a problem.
