Review on πŸ–±οΈ Quiet Ergonomic Wireless Mouse for Laptop & Computer with USB, Silent Cordless Mice with 3 DPI Levels for Chromebook (White) by Tim Duncan

Revainrating 3 out of 5

It's really just ok, but it definitely eats batteries!

I've had this mouse for a few weeks now (ordered 03/30/17) PRO:* Quiet clicks! All you hear is a slightly muted beat. * slim design, smooth surface, comfortable (once you get used to it) * the button is small and I don't have to remove it when moving the PCCON tablet: * the button makes a low, high-pitched squeak, just that can be eliminated by turning off the USB port. * The mouse has inexplicably stopped working three times already (but the receiver is still connected and creaks softly). Currently it stops working after restarting the computer, removing the battery and pressing the keys. I don't know if it will work again and when.* the red light stays on all the time. The batteries have already been replaced once. * There is no power button even if the button is disabled. * It's very easy to accidentally press the DPI button, which (after a little trial and error) caused the pointer to move across the screen at different speeds. I have small hands and was surprised at how small it is. It took a few minutes to get used to it. Can I recommend this to a friend? no Would I buy this again? no Will I go back to my old mouse? Probably not. Update 6/25/17 I would like to note that I have had to replace the batteries on this thing at least 7 times in three months. They just died again and I replaced the batteries last week. The longer I have it, the faster the batteries drain. Since there is no way to turn off the mouse when not in use (or rather I'd rather let it "sleep" when not in use for a while but the red light is on all the time), it consumes batteries. Can't return it - I threw away the packaging - but if I could I would. I've thought about buying reusable batteries (and DO THIS if you're planning on buying one!) but I'm not entirely sure that will solve my problem as they seem to drain quicker. Not very happy with this ten dollar purchase. Should have just bought Logitech. I can actually do that at the moment. Last update 04.07.19: This thing finally broke me. A few months after my last update I received reusable AAA batteries and this is the way to go. Since the red light never went out on me (and it's BRIGHT at night) this is how I used the mouse: OFF = battery cover removed (long lost), one battery partially relocated (and it's only left because - the coil was always stuck open the accumulator). The receiver cannot be stowed away with the lid off, but I take it out of the computer when not in use because it constantly emits an almost inaudible high-pitched signal. ON = insert battery, connect receiver and go. The battery cover is long gone, so no one is going to put it back on. Mouse wheel broke yesterday. It no longer scrolls, but clicks. I opened it up to see if I could fix it, but the plastic lever is broken and can't be fixed. This mouse has always been very quiet, but it has always been difficult to work with. Why isn't there an off button? And I'm not sure if the sleep feature was a thing when I bought it, but I definitely didn't have that feature. Also, after years of use, the white paint on the sides gets dirty. I will look for another silent mouse with a disable function. In 2 years you would hope there would be other options!
