I noticed that my original plastic USB cable started to diverge right near the Type A connector. Before the complete failure I decided to get a replacement to order. I have another short reinforced nylon external USB drive cable. Armored cables seem to last a lot longer than ordinary plastic cables, so I decided to order this one. Kevlar/Nylon outperforms traditional plastic. I like that it has LTW. There are not many products these days. Can recommend this cable.
