I was looking for a modern/slightly rustic duvet with a relaxing feel. We have Cali/King for our queen bed. When it arrived I was a bit surprised that the drawing up close didn't look quite the same as the photos taken from a distance. A consideration if you have a medium sized room like ours. The other surprise was the size. It is approximately 91 inches long and 106 inches wide* when laid out so the stripe pattern runs from the head end of the bed to the foot end of the bed*. Here's how it's laid out in the picture, and it looks like it's quite long. Maybe it's on a big bed, I don't know. I have a large bed and the duvet is a little shorter than I would like. If you prefer an extra duvet, you need to turn it so that the stripes are horizontal. If I had known these kids before I bought it, I might have passed. But it's too late. Couldn't test it for heat but I would say it's light to medium.
