The material was not as heavy as we would like. It does the job I needed. My patio cushion covers fell apart, the inside of the cushion is still fine. I tried to find new covers but to no avail. Even down to the brand's manufacturing source. They sell new pillows but no covers. I looked everywhere for the cover size. I saw these dog comforters and they were close enough and the price was affordable enough for the 6 pillows I have. The green faded quickly so I don't think the material will survive long exposure to the sun. The bottom cushion is shown. The back cushion covers are original for the patio set. My dogs jump on it and lie down and turn around and all that canine movement. The covers look good, wash well so I think they will be fine for regular dog beds. I'm not sure how hard it is when a dog chews on it since my dogs don't chew on dog beds. Although it doesn't seem that hard to me when the dog is chewing on fabric.
