My wife and I had to print and mail about 5,000 letters. Buying OEM Brother toner costs us an arm and a leg. So we tried one of the generics first. That turned out to be pretty bad. We then bought HaloFox (the idea was to try a few generic brands and see if one of them worked as advertised). Well, we need look no further. HaloFox performed better than advertised. I'm a math guy. So, here's the math: Their marketing claim (like pretty much everyone else) is that the toner will last "up to 3,000 pages at 5% print density." I didn't know what "5%" meant. So I checked. And heck, it's almost nothing - basically just about 5-6 lines of text. Our letter took up the entire page (28 lines of text, or 5-6 times more than 5%). So if the statement about 3000 at 5% were true then we would just get 3000 divided by 5 or 6, ie 500-600 pages printed with 1 toner cartridge. Well, we got 2300 before the toner change. It's 4-5 times better than what they advertise! This product is what I call value for money and an easy task!
