Given the price I thought it wouldn't be a risky buy but an optical hot swap for under 30? I bought it to modify and it was a pleasure to tune it. On arrival I was pleasantly surprised by the weight of this model - it's slightly lighter than the SK61, but not by much. The keys clatter slightly, but unless you're very experienced with mechanical keyboards, this might not break the rules. The black optical switches respond wonderfully. Where this keyboard really stands out are the LEDs. The color is absolutely gorgeous and the adjustment software is amazingly reliable. I was able to customize certain buttons to each color, which is a fun plus. A bit more in detail: - Optical switches - after disassembly they wobble terribly. Spring is incredibly light, so it's not a very satisfying answer. I didn't try swapping out the spring to see if that would help, but adding foil to the box-shaped switches didn't help reduce noise or rattle, especially with ABS keycaps. I took them out and replaced them with silver Gaterons. Plate - it was nice and heavy but mine has a pretty ugly dent and the finish could have been a little better as there is an uneven gap between it and the plate. circuit board. It's fine if you don't plan on modifying it much/at all, but adding some extra layers of foam turned out to be a bit more difficult than expected. Body: Thick plastic with some cavities. Plastic is good, but it needs something more to get rid of the muffled sound. - Stabilizers are more wobbly than toddlers, and factory lube is a bit like lotion. The plate is there, though, so trimming, patching, and a little dialectical lubrication have resulted in significant improvements. I'll probably replace them a bit in the future, but at least they arrived in decent condition - they didn't warp on me at all.
