In the last few years I've been studying auto electrics, often blowing fuses and getting electrocuted myself. Over time I've more or less learned how things work and my truck has never caught fire. As you can see, I have a weird thing about yellow lights on trucks. I've always wanted old-fashioned cab lights on my Chevy and this was sort of the ultimate test. Really easy installation if you measure 200 times and don't drill too close to the windshield. I didn't remove the headliner completely, which was a headache, especially when the two clips didn't connect properly. I didn't like the switch idea, so I wired it directly to the daytime running light, the orange bottom bulb that isn't a turn signal. Could easily have been done in a day but I took my time, used lots of silicone and had no leaks. I was surprised it wasn't LEDs, but don't let that fool you. In this case I think real lightbulbs look beautiful, especially with their brightness. Totally useless and cosmetic decoration, but it was a real pleasure to complete. If you have formal training or at least the minimum experience that I have, you can do it.
