If you own pets, you’ve probably, like me, sent an innumerable number of supposedly fabulous and wildly expensive pet beds to the Dog Bed Graveyard. And a lot of your coins with it. I’ve had a couple of these for 6+ years for my crate trained indoor dogs. The abuse they’ve withstood would turn the stomach of a veteran kennel owner. Granted, the exterior covers are not the most durable but there are loads of replacement covered on the market that are not $. The most surprising thing is that these memory foam interiors internal cover (not replaceable but also never needed to) have endured all manner of vile events that I never would have expected. Granted, I have a couple so if something gross happens, I let it air out for a couple days. But I’m pretty smell averse and if a dog can have diarrhea on a bed and it soaks in for a couple hours, regardless of how waterproof it (and/or it’s liner) claims to be, it leaves a grotesque odorous footprint that cannot be erased and usually off to the graveyard. These have lasted so long that the other day, after a particularly vomitious stench inducing affair, I was sure this bed was toast. Told Bella "well , you’ve probably killed this one now”. And after 7 years of hard labor, it would STILL deserve a a full honor ceremony at the graveyard. Nope, after a 2 day air out I sniffed - and nothing. Just like the day it was unleashed from it’s vacuumed seal housing.Again, the exterior cover is pretty flimsy, but not bad for the summer. Super easy to wash though. The only thing negative, and even those went through a lot before their graveyard sendoff.The interior has far outlasted the best, most expensive supposedly waterproof similar from the big name, and very expensive, hunting dog sellers who shall be unnamed.I rarely write reviews but this one was worth the time. Obviously, because it’s long af. Just trying to save some of you some coins out of karmic responsibility. You’re welcome. And you’re welcome, Brindle.
