We bought this product because our 4 year old has trouble sleeping and needed to pinpoint how much sleep/waste he was getting. After much research, we decided on D-Link's 825L. At first the product was good. I had to call tech support because the instructions that came with the camera are very limited. They have instructions online but I still needed a tech support person to help me learn all the features of the camera. After figuring all that out, the camera met our needs for about a month. and then suddenly stopped detecting movement (even at high sensitivity) and accordingly stopped recording. When I called tech support again, I was on the phone for over an hour while they tried to fix the issue. Eventually it was found that the firmware was not updated, which should happen automatically. Tech support was about to walk me through a manual update only to find that the firmware update files had somehow been removed from their system. They said they would take the matter to headquarters and call me back within a week. A week and a half later I had to call back - another hour on the phone and still no solution to the problem. Now they are forcing me to return the camera I have and replace it with the exact same camera - it will have the exact same issues as it is said to be a firmware issue. When I informed them about this they said they had to send the same model and if I had to send it back they would replace it with a different model. And to make matters worse, I have to pay for the return shipping of the camera. Conclusion: We had the camera for 2 months, but it only worked for the first month! and while D-Link Tech Support tries to help, their "solutions" are unacceptable. Who makes their customers pay to return a product that doesn't work because of an issue on their end? D link does!
