First let me say that I am not a certified welder. However, I have been in the welding shop for over 25 years and have already welded quite a few things that did not require certification. My home welder is for truss repairs and project repairs. This product is terrible in my little cored wire welder. My machine is a low cost Northern Tool 110 volt welder. After running out of the last 2 spools of Techniweld wire from a local welding center I tried this product from Blue Demon. Same size .035 and same 2# spool. Very cold wire in my car. This only works decently when my machine is set to high. It builds up easily and has to be used at almost half the speed of my previous brand of wire just to weld properly. I would return the two coils I bought if they were defective, but they probably just don't work on my machine. Even on high, he regularly hisses and spits in the middle of a decent weld. I went back to the small piece of wire I had left on my reel of previous brands and it was all gone. This week I will order my old cable. ...just not as quick and convenient as this is a special order product in a 2# roll. They usually only carry large roles.
